Our big events include reception of the Sacraments, Graduation, All Saints party, and our Homeschool Blessing mass. We also host a guest speaker once or twice a year. Topics can range from education, faith/ spirituality, discipleship, prayer, evangelization, parenting, to home or time management.

Service is an important part of our Catholic Faith and we strive to teach our children acts of service both in the home and in the community. We participate in 1-2 family service projects a year. Examples can include service for pro-life organizations, Catholic Charities, John 3:16 Mission, Christmas caroling, care packages for the homeless, adopt a family in need, make cards for the military, and visit a convent or monastery.

Special Events

Some of our parties and socials may include St. Valentine’s day, Mardi Gras, moms’ night out or in, couples’ night out, round table or panel discussions, cookout/dinner with the bishop, craft night, game night, get to know you night, youth night(s) for our teens, and play days at a park.

Parties/Socials
Service

We are a support group comprised of Catholic, homeschool families living in the Diocese of Tulsa. The purpose of CHE is to offer families a Catholic, homeschool community of friendship and support.

Membership is for 12 months, from August 1st to July 31st. The membership drive will be from August 1st to School Blessing (September). Everyone has the option to pay and join online or by mailing a check and membership form to Catholic Home Educators. Dues may be waived in cases of financial hardship by notifying us. Dues pay for minimum operating costs such as CHE business correspondence, supplies for events, priest/speaker stipends and, when possible, additional expenses associated with those events. CHE Team Leaders and volunteers collectively develop budget and programming.

We communicate primarily via Facebook and/or a Yahoo Group which has our calendar of events, general discussions, prayer requests, info about events and gatherings, contact info for various other groups, and list of resources.
